Renaissance Magazine, issue #59 reported the shape of men's skulls from Medieval times transformed from a thin, narrow shape to a round-moon shape, then back again to the previous skinner version. Women's skulls did not fluctuate, adding more complexities to the situation. Various theories have been proposed why "cranial changes" occurred throughout Western Europe between 11th and 13th Centuries. No real answers have been discovered.
