day 215 || becoming the green man

The green man exists as a figure of myth from celtic/nordic origins. Many of his images show up in cathedrals designed during the early Middle Ages. His face usually appears human, and can be composed entirely out of leaves, sometimes branches and sepals form elements of his facial hair, or appear streaming out of his open mouth. He acts as an archetype of regeneration, the cycle of nature.
